SMASH!!!

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 NIV.

Marvel has a host of great heroes. One of them was created from gamma radiation. The Incredible Hulk transforms into a monster that loves to smash! He destroys and crushes all that gets in his way. He is a mean, green, smashing machine.

Thyatira in Revelation was a stronghold. It was built to be destroyed so that Pergamum could prepare for the incoming battle. Strongholds are meant to slow us down.

The devil can’t win and already lost. But he will build strongholds to slow us down if satan can move us to destruction with him or slow us down from doing God’s work. He slows us down from what God has for us.

The war is already lost. The devil knows that. But he wants to win battles, to prevent people from getting to heaven or hinder believers from growing.

The Lord prompted me years back in prayer with one word: strongholds. satan is an expert in them, but God is the professional smasher. Any hindrance holding us back from Him can be smashed in His name. The Lord’s authority destroys any stronghold that slows us down.

We all need breakthroughs, and the Lord is the breaker. Anything hindering us from His presence can get smashed in His mighty name. Strongholds get demolished.

Smash any stronghold that stops us from You, Lord. Bust through anything the enemy uses to stop us. Draw us into Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
