It's Not an Act.

And I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man. Acts 24:15-16 NIV.

I led youth groups where teens got older and left. I gave each one a charge before they went into the world. If they found something superior to Jesus, they were to return and inform me. They all failed to find a superior solution. Many returned to Jesus after getting their fill.

Many evangelical churches veer away from Jesus. Morality is shaped by society and culture. Then progressive churches adopt this and become indistinguishable. It leads to a destructive path.

The world is full of cultural relevance that gets shoved down their throats. We don't need elders imitating this. It also gets shoved down our children’s throats in schools. The leaders who did this became irrelevant. It developed into an extreme movement controlled by demonic monsters.

This all leads to disappointment and emptiness. The church must stand on His Gospel. Many churches claim to stand on the Gospel of inclusion. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is only what matters.

We should close churches and go home if the Gospel lacks transformative power. It offers hope in a world that presents junk.

Paul was aware our conscience plays a role. It is not an act. Our belief in Jesus' imminent return shapes our behavior. To live for Jesus means choosing what is right. The world does not lead our consciences. God’s Holy Spirit does.

Protect us and our children from cultural relevance. Let us stand out in a world that chokes us with culture. Save others from the relevant paths they take. Lead them to You. In Jesus' name, amen.
